Locus Design Power Cables
First, a few words about our power cables and our beliefs. While our power cables could be considered "affordable" in the grand scheme of things, we urge you not to judge them according to how much they cost. As you read through the descriptions below, you will notice that we have gone to great lengths to design a cable that can take on all comers--no matter their cost. We invite you to compare any of our cables to your current favorite, and prepare to be pleasantly surprised!
What you will give up with our cables is ultra fancy packaging , bound and laminated owners manuals (you will get a users manual, albeit a simple one), or any other peripheral "frills". We have chosen to forgo any of the "frills", usually designed by marketing to enhance "pride of ownership" and let the performance of the cables speak for themselves. Besides, who ultimately pays for all of these "frills"? We don't believe you should pay for anything but a top-performing cable.
Locus Design Keynote Power Cable
We are proud to introduce our new ultra high performance Locus Design "Keynote" power cable.
We start by utilizing the finest CF-DCT-UPOCC mono crystal conductors that are insulated in a material that has very desirable preperties, both electrically and in terms of self damping characteristics. The conductors are then precisely twisted with a material that exhibits the desired (ie., correct for our puposes) damping, electrical, and tribolectrical properties to ensure that any mechanical or electrical noise generated inside the cable arrangement is addressed. Over this twisted core assembly various materials are then wrapped, woven, and extruded to ensure that the overall cable is resistant to any outside electrical and mechanical influences.
Over the last few years, we have been developing and refining a unique and proprietary method of shielding/damping a power cable, learning many new things along the way. This cable is the embodiment of everything we have learned, coupled to the finest AC ends we have ever used, the Furutech carbon fiber 50 series. As in many of our cables before, we employ multiple materials (carbon fiber, ERS paper, braid, foil, etc.) in this unique design to damp, surround, isolate, reflect, and absorb spurious electrical and mechanical noise, however, this latest cable has a gestalt unlike anything we have produced before. Indeed, the sum is greater than the parts.
This cable is the quietest, cleanest sounding, and best power cable we have ever produced. And, due to the econmomies of scale, it is $600 less expensive than our previous flagship power cable, to boot!

Locus Design Centriole Power Cable
The New Locus Design Centriole power cable is our high performance, high value, custom power cable.
We start by utilizing the finest CF-DCT-UPOCC mono crystal conductors that are insulated in a material that has very desirable preperties, both electrically and in terms of self damping characteristics. The conductors are then precisely twisted with a material that exhibits the desired (ie., correct for our puposes) damping, electrical, and tribolectrical properties to ensure that any mechanical or electrical noise generated inside the cable arrangement is addressed. Over this twisted core assembly various materials are then wrapped, woven, and extruded to ensure that the overall cable is resistant to any outside electrical and mechanical influences.
This cable employs many of the shielding and damping techiques of its larger brother above, but does not take it quite as far, using less of the most costly materials, and switching to the Oyaide P/C 004 AC and IEC ends. While not having *quite* the gestalt of its more expensive brother above, it is still a great sounding cable, and we invite you to compare it to your current favorite, no matter the cost, and prepare to be surprised.

*New! Return policy on cables. For the past few years we have been making all of our cables to order (bespoke) and have not offered a trial period on these cables. Frankly, demand is so high that I am kept so busy building cables that are paid for and sold, and don't have time to build cables for thse who wish to compare them or "try them out".
